Limbe, Cameroon – July 31st, 2025 – On July 30th and 31st, 2025, important people from different parts of Cameroon’s South West Region met in Limbe. They came for a special training about digitalization. This training shows Cameroon’s strong effort to use new technology. The goal was to give these key people the skills to bring digital changes to their areas. This will help connect everyone to the internet and grow the economy.
The training took place at the Limbe 1 Council. It included people from many different areas, not just one. This shows that digitalization is a big change for everyone in society, not just a technology change. So, everyone needs to work together. The lessons covered many important topics for using digital tools well.
Initially named Victoria, founded by Alfred Saker in 1858, the town was renamed in May 16, 1982, to “Limbe”, derived from the main river that flows through the town.
